Extra-Curricular Co-op Agreements
Willow Creek Schools and Harrison Schools have entered into a co-op agreement
for Volleyball, Basketball, and Band. Each co-op agreement is for three years. The
Volleyball contract will be up for renewal after the end of the 2022 season,
both the Girls and Boys Basketball contracts will be up for renewal after the 2022-23 season, and the Band contract will be up for renewal after the 2021-22 school year.

Other Policies
Athletes: What is the policy to have my parent/guardian take me home from an away game? Parent/guardian must “sign you out” on coach’s log. Hoping to ride home with a friend’s parents? To ride home with someone other than your parent/guardian, athlete must have approval from Mr. Hofman the day prior—24 hours in advance. Athletes and Managers: Remember on game day you are expected to wear dress clothes (no jeans). You are representing the team and the school. You will not be allowed on the bus without proper dress. Also, DO NOT wear your team warm up gear for everyday use.
CLARIFICATION OF NON-VARSITY BASKETBALL GAME QUARTERS
In the past years teams have been struggling to fill non-varsity basketball rosters. The MHSA has made the following clarifications to address quarter and game limitations for non-varsity basketball:
Allowable Non-Varsity Basketball Contest Formats:
1. Contest is four (4) quarters of eight (8) minutes in length: Game limit – Contest counts as one (1) game toward the game limitation for that squad. Quarter limit – Each eight-minute quarter in which a student-athlete participates counts as one quarter toward the quarter rule limit.
2. Contest is three (3) quarters of eight (8) minutes in length: Game limit – Contest counts as one (1) game toward the game limitation for that squad. Quarter limit – Each eight-minute quarter in which a student-athlete participates counts as one quarter toward the quarter rule limit.
3. Contest is two (2) quarters of eight (8) minutes in length: Game limit – Contest counts as one-half (1/2) game toward the game limitation for that squad. Quarter limit – Each eight-minute quarter in which a student-athlete participates counts as one quarter toward the quarter rule limit.
4. Contest is four (4) quarters of four (4) minutes in length: Game limit – Contest counts as one-half (1/2) game toward the game limitation for that squad. Quarter limit – Participation in any part of one or two four-minute quarters counts as one quarter toward the quarter rule limit. Participation in any part of three or four four-minute quarters counts as two quarters toward the quarter rule limit.
5. Contest is two (2) quarters of eight (8) minutes in length and two (2) quarters of four (4) minutes in length: Game limit – Contest counts as one (1) game toward the game limitation for that squad. Quarter Eligibility for all classes - The Association prohibits all students of member schools from entering more than five (5) quarters of basketball in any one day [Class C-six (6) quarters; Class A & B-sub varsity (c squad and jv players)-six (6) quarters, if suited for varsity game only five (5) quarters of eligibility]. Should a non-

RULING: The official must decide if the offense is major. Under 4-48, if not deemed to be major and neither a warning nor technical
has been charged (direct or indirect) to the head coach, the bench personnel could be issued a warning. If a warning is ruled, this would be reported to both teams and recorded in the scorebook. DELETE: and the head coach would lose coaching-box privileges. If the official deems the offense to be major then a technical foul should be charged to the team member and indirectly to the head coach who loses coaching box privileges. The third quarter should begin with the opposing team shooting two free throws and being awarded the ball at the division line for a throw-in. Remember that only a Captain can talk to the officials.
